Training Indigenous Leaders Locally (T.I.L.L)

Sponsor the training and part-time employment of indigenous leaders to help reach out to local teenagers. This program will help us establish new areas and equip the next generation of leaders.

Tilling the soil
Ask any farmer what it takes to produce a great harvest, their reply will start with soil preperation. This working of the soil is to remove weeds, rocks, and uncompact hard soil, enabling the seed to grow in the best environment possible.

Training Indigenous Leaders Locally is similar to tilling soil, but instead of soil we are cultivating hearts and minds of future leaders with the vision to see a great harvest of souls in the local context.

Training Leaders
Young Life staff form a mentoring relationship with local young adults to train and empower them to become transformational leaders in their communities and countries.

How it works
T.I.L.L. offers these future leaders (who may normally seek secular employment) a part-time position with Young Life to establish a new (or run an existing) ministry centre. We develop a mentoring relationship, provide Young Life ministry training, practical ministry experience, and life-skills in reaching a lost generation of young people.

Get Involved
By becoming a sponsor, you are investing in the life of an indigenous young adult who has great leadership potential, thereby enabling them to transform their local community. You may like to sponsor in part or full the amount needed. Different areas and people have different funding levels which range from $200 – 500 per month.

Where are we?
We are currently developing T.I.L.L. in Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia & Estonia.
